Hi Liz.

I understand that there are a lot of people out there who are apprehensive about buying a home on the internet.  I thought if we shared our experience it might help. Living in Hawaii and looking for a home in Lake Havasu we knew we would need a real estate agent that we could trust and that we could work with long distance. After looking through Real Estate Magazines we had picked up on our last trip to Lake Havasu we looked at all the ads from the different Realtors and decided to "Just Call Liz".  Best move we ever made.

We sent an e-mail to Liz asking her to call and she did, within about 10 minutes!  We spent a little time talking to her, telling her what we were looking for in a house and kicking around some ideas with her and she promised to get back to us with some homes to look at.  By the next day she had found us four houses to look at and e-mailed us pictures and info on all of them. One of these was our perfect house at the perfect price and we made an offer.

Everything was handled by phone, fax and e-mails. There were a few glitches along the way, I think there always are when purchasing a home, but Liz handled everything for us and kept everything moving along smoothly.  We went to Lake Havasu to sign the closing papers which wasn't really necessary but we were anxious to see our house and meet Liz in person.

I guess the best thing about dealing with Liz is that she listens to what you want and need, doesn't assume she knows better than you do and has been in the business long enough to know a lot of contractors, lenders, service people, etc. so is able to help with whatever you might need.

Internet shopping for a new home can be fun and a little scary.
Working with the right Realtor can make all the difference. My advice to anyone contemplating an internet home purchase?

Dear Liz,

Thank you for providing us with concierge service in finding our Havasu home and making sure that all the details of purchasing real estate were taken care of.  We so appreciated how smoothly everything went, especially since we were in California and we had to accommodate the shortest escrow we’ve ever experienced.  You were the one who ably served as our representative “on the ground” in Lake Havasu City and made it all come together such that we now have a beautiful retirement home. 

As if such great service wasn’t enough, you made sure you were there to greet us as our trucks pulled into the driveway – welcoming us to our new home despite our late arrival on a cold night.  Then for the crème de la crème, you gave us a perfect housewarming gift.  After we unloaded the trucks, we felt as though you must have been with us in spirit as we shopped for those first furnishings because the earthen canisters you brought us look wonderful and as though they were chosen knowing what would best suit our style. 

You will have to come by and see the place now that it’s almost furnished.  We’ll be driving out this Friday with another load – including a pool table for the casita!  So if you’re in the area, please come by and see us.  Until we meet again, thank you for providing stellar service – always with a smile – and such a warm welcome to Lake Havasu.

Dear Liz,

Joyce and I just want to say thanks so much for making our buying experience at Lake Havasu a good one. You are welcome to share this with any of your clients as we feel it is to their advantage to be aware of the exceptional service you have provided. I'm sure that their are others buying their first home, "away from home" that you have made so easy to do.

My wife and I have been looking for a winter home that was close to water and yet affordable. We have been to Las Vegas and Phoenix at different time and loved the climate but missed all the advantages that living by water has. Last December, we decided to rent a home at Lake Havasu to see what it was like. To summarize, we loved and started looking for a home of our own. Prior of our visit, we did some property searching on the internet and were fortunate to hook up with Liz. We told her what we wanted and she started sending us properties on a regular basis for our review. She answered any questions we had promptly and contrary to others we tried, returned calls in a timely and professional manner. Naturally, we chose her over several others upon our home search while we were there.

I can't recall how many homes (many) we looked through with Liz who was so accomodating as was always willing to work around our holiday schedule. Being from Canada, we were not familiar with the construction, the utilities, the neighborhoods, the buying process, ect.... again Liz helped us through all of it. She showed us through any homes we wanted to see and not only gave the pros of a particular home, but was quick to point out the cons which we really appreciated. She has been in this market during good and bad times and is well connected. There wasn't one part of our paying process that she was not able to help out. This process included home inspectors, pool contruction companies, title transfer people (they don't use lawyers like we do here), house maids, window washers, weed and pest control people, house valets to check on her home periodically, restuarants, community functions to attend, and the list goes on and on. 

Her service did not stop after the sale. We had a couple of hiccups in the paperwork that occurred after the house had been purchased. We were back in Canada at this time and if it wasn't for Liz we would of had to make a trip back down to resolve. She took care of each item which was such a relief for us. It should be stated, that these items were such that they were not the responsibility of the Realtor to resolve.

Our Canadian "Dollarette" was of course an issue of concern to us in making a home buying decision. Even so, in doing the calculation and taking into account the cost per square foot to build a new home, we considered in a good investment. It gave us exposure to the USD currency, and sure, it may take 1,2 or maybe 5 years for our current world wide economy to straighten out, but when it does our house will be a winner and we will be enjoying it the whole time. If our currency loses more ground to the USD, we can always sell our home, and bring back the advantage in Canadian dollars. In the Havasu market we saw very little downside.

Thanks again Liz... without you it would have never happened. Now, not only do we have a great Realtor, but also a great friend!!!

Liz was amazing!  We found her by accident during one of our many times of looking for homes on the Internet.  She contacted us within minutes of entering our information in to the web site.  We were hesitant about finding an agent this way, but we were extremely tired of spending hours trying to find the perfect home while living in another state.  The other problem was my husband would not be available to help find or purchase our new home.  I flew to Havasu only two times.  The first time was just to look and get a feel for the area.  Liz was right on target with her home selections.  The next trip the first house was the perfect house!  Sold!  She helped me during the stress of the offer and counter offers, she worked with our mortgage person, inspectors, appraisers and all through the escrow process.  She was always available.   Thanks to Liz our home is perfect and so was our experience.

     Joel and I just wish to express our appreciation for all the help you provided to us while we were searching for just the right house here in Lake Havasu.  When we first came down to look at this area, we were unsure if this was the right place for us to purchase a second home.  Having never been to Lake Havasu we didn't know anything about the area, but thought we might like it here.  You didn't push us, but showed us the area and showed us a few houses to start.  That was the right way for us to become comfortable with your approach and experience.  Then you just sent us new homes to view via email and responded to our calls and gave us your unbiased opinions of the houses we selected.

     Your professional knowledge and gentle guidance were deeply appreciated.  You didn't just show us houses to look at, you were able to seek out what exactly our needs were and what we liked.  Through that insight you helped us find a perfect home.

     We also want to thank you for assisting us throughout the process and being a great advocate for the purchase.  You watched out for our protection to be sure we didn't have problems when the final closing came and that everything was in working order and jumped on any problems you saw.  You have always conducted yourself in a professional manner, but more importantly, you were so personable and friendly.

     Since we are from Salt Lake City, we didn't have any friends or family to assist us when we wanted to start furnishing the house.  You went above and beyond  as our realtor by offering to let us have items delivered to your home for us to pick up when we came back to Lake Havasu.  Even when the sale completed and your work was done, you still maintained a commitment to us and were are responsive to our calls and questions.

     You also introduced us to the perfect mortgage broker.  Dan from Bank of America was also a great help to us.  Although there was a small glitch in the closing, he worked extremely hard to make it happen on our timeline. 

     We have purchased many homes in the 30+ years we have been married and we found this experience to be the most pleasant one.  We would be more than willing to provide a reference to anyone looking for a home in this area.  Please just ask and we will do it.   Thank you again for your help and assistance.

It all started with searching on the internet. We sent 3 or 4 requests for
information on properties in Lake Havasu. Guess who called us first....of
course it was Liz and are we ever glad. She was there for us every step of
the way, from giving us an assortment of properties to view on line to
showing us homes while we were in Lake Havasu. If we wanted to return to a
particular home a second time, no problem, a third time, no problem. Liz
genuinely wanted us to be pleased with the home we chose. Liz was a real
help with the buying process, through all the phone calls, faxes, and
emails she always showed us extreme patience. We love our condo just a few
blocks from the beach and look forward to spending as much time in sunny
Lake Havasu as we can.

Darryl and I lived in Montana and worked with Liz Miller for over a year looking at homes that she would email to us. We flew down once to look at homes and meet with Liz.
