If you wandered anywhere near the London Bridge after dark these past couple of weeks, you may have noticed that things appear a bit brighter. That’s right, folks. It is that time of year again! The Lake Havasu Festival of Lights illuminates the night skies. But there are many other activities going on to help get you into the holiday spirit as well this month.

Lake Havasu Festival of Lights 2021
Starting at dusk, the English Village and the London Bridge light up with over half a million twinkling lights. Check them out when you visit the English Village to do your Christmas shopping. For a unique perspective, take your boat through the Channel and see the lights on display from the lake. The London Bridge Resort, the Convention Center, and the English Village all allow you to park for free. This is a lovely way to show your out-of-town guests the beauty that Lake Havasu offers. (Plus, it is a nice way to walk off some of those holiday pounds in the process.)
12 Days of Christmas
Mrs. Claus takes up residence at the London Bridge Resort from 4 pm and 7 pm between now and Christmas Eve. She invites children to listen to her read tales of Christmas glory in the Activities Room (located on the resort’s third floor). In addition to storytime, kids create their own ornaments for the tree, sip cocoa, and munch on popcorn. It only costs $8 per child to spend time with Santa’s better half. Contact the London Bridge Resort at (928) 855-0888 or visit the front desk to make your reservation today.
Community Dinner
Another beloved annual tradition, the Lake Havasu Community Dinner, is back at the Aquatic Center this Friday, December 10th. Guests enjoy a full holiday feast absolutely free of charge. To accommodate as many people as possible, they offer two different sessions: early bird (doors open at 3:30 pm, dinner served at 4 pm) and a second seating at 6 pm (doors open at 5:45 pm). Santa plans on making an appearance to visit with everyone. He will even sit for a family portrait if you ask nicely. All seating provided on a first-come/first-served basis. The venue accommodates up to 500 guests at a time.
Yard City Toy Drive
This Saturday, December 11th, from 10 am to 3 pm, bring a new, unwrapped toy worth at least $10 or bring $10 in cash to donate to our local firefighters’ toy drive downtown. While there, take a photo with Santa. decorate ornaments and cookies, and chow down on Greg Bird Pizza. For the adults, Mudshark Beer provides some of their finest stock for imbibing.
Merry Christmas to all!
