Lake Havasu City needs volunteers. As long as you are 18 years old and have a valid photo ID, you can apply to be a volunteer for several different City programs. Budget constraints can make it difficult to fund some projects. In order for these these programs to continue to be available to Lake Havasu citizens, the city relies on the efforts of volunteers.
Programs That Need Volunteers
- Youth Coaching (football, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, etc)
- Recreational Programs
- Aquatic Programs (Adult/Senior Programs)
- Water Conservation
- Park Host
- Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
- Police Explorers
- Victims’ Advocates
- Senior Rides (HAT)
- Lobby Greeter
- Clerical Support
If you’re interested in volunteering for any of these programs, come to the Lake Havasu City Volunteer Fair from 9am to 12pm on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Lake Havasu City Police Department (2360 McCulloch Blvd N). Bring your photo ID. You will be asked to fill out the necessary paperwork and subject yourself to a background and fingerprint check. If you are under 18, you can still volunteer as long as your parent or guardian is present.
