Does your bathroom need a little updating? Thinking of putting your Havasu home on the market anytime soon? The National Association of Home Builders recently released their 2109 report “What Home Buyers Really Want”. In it, they disclosed some of the features today’s buyers consider most important in a master bathroom. You’d be smart to consider these bathroom remodel ideas if you want your property to sell.
Bathroom Remodel Ideas That Sell Your House
Carrera marble. Waterfall shower. Chandelier lighting. Floating sink. All of these sound amazing but pricey, right? That’s not what buyers are necessarily looking for. It might surprise you to find out that the #1 thing buyers want or consider essential in their master bathroom is a linen closet. Yes. Buyers overwhelmingly (78%) said that something as simple as a linen closet inside the master bathroom topped their list of “must haves”. So, if your bathroom doesn’t have one, I suggest you add it to the top of your bathroom remodel ideas list.
Next, buyers want to see both a shower and a tub in the bathroom (73%). But rather than a shower/tub combo, buyers desire a shower stall with a separate bathtub, preferably all in white (63%). And ditch the single sink. Another one of the bathroom remodel ideas to consider is a double vanity (71%) with granite counters (61%). The remaining items buyers find desirable in the master bathroom are a separate compartment for the toilet (65%), ceramic tile walls (62%), multiple shower heads (57%) or a full body spray panel (56%), and a whirlpool tub (54%).
You don’t need to go overboard when remodeling your bathroom. But, if you want to sell your Lake Havasu soon and are thinking of tackling a rehab first, keep these bathroom remodel ideas in mind. They’re sure to keep your house top of mind when future buyers come a-callin’.
