“Seeing is believing. But, sometimes, the most real things in the world are the things we can’t see.” The Conductor of the classic children’s book ‘The Polar Express’ taught us that. But did you know that the train that takes little boys and girls to visit Santa is more than a fairy tale? It’s real. In fact, the Polar Express starts at Williams AZ and is boarding right now!

Where: Grand Canyon Railway Depot (233 N Grand Canyon Blvd, Williams, AZ)
When: Now through January 3, 2015
Cost: $34-$39 for adults and $20-$25 for kids (Christmas Eve Special: $69 adults, $49 kids)

The Polar Express starts at Williams AZ. But that’s just the beginning of the magical 90 minute ride that transports you from Arizona to the North Pole and back again. Once on board, guests will be served hot cocoa and cookies while singing Christmas carols. There will even be a special reading of the Chris Van Allsburg classic “The Polar Express” while en route. Feel free to bring your own copy from home to read along if you would like.
Once you make it to Santa’s Village, the jolly old elf himself will hop aboard to visit with all the boys and girls. Santa will make his way through every train car, stopping along the way to give each child a special gift. Will you hear be able to hear the ringing of the bells?
I know that Williams is a 2 1/2 hour car ride from our Lake Havasu community, but the trip is well worth it. The Polar Express starts at Williams AZ but the memories will last a lifetime! Get your tickets today by calling (888) 848-3511. Please visit The Polar Express website here for departure dates and times.
