The lake is life here in Havasu. (#lakelife) But we also like to add a little gambling in with our play. I mean, a nice hour and a half trip up the Colorado River in your boat or PWC gets you to Laughlin. A two and a half hour car ride lands you right on the Vegas strip. So, when you partner boating with gambling, you hit a home run here. In the fall, that means the Monster Storm Poker Run. But in the spring, we host the Desert Storm Poker Run and Shootout. And tickets just went on sale.

Desert Storm Poker Run 2022
Wednesday and Sunday of the event are both reserved for Poker Run business. On Thursday, participants and fans alike are invited to the Party on Main Street from 1 pm to 9 pm. Then, on Friday, the run starts out with a parade through the Channel at 11 am. Directly after that, boaters take off for the official start of the Poker Run. From 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, the Desert Shootout takes place. Spectators need to bring a chair and scout out a spot anywhere near Site Six along the bluffs on the Island or at Spectator Point for the best vantage spots to watch the race.
Registration Information
If you wish to participate in this spring’s Poker Run, I strongly encourage you to register right now. Tickets notoriously sell out fast! If you register by the end of business on February 20th, you pay $500 for you and one crew member aboard your boat. Waiting until after that increases the price to $550 and lessens your odds of there still being tickets available. No registration will be allowed at the event itself. Online registration officially closes on March 20th. But it typically sells out well before then. Your registration fee includes two hands of poker. You may purchase additional hands for $50 each. If you want to add extra crew members, they cost another $150 each. (Kids cost $50 each to participate.) The Shootout costs $100 if you also registered for the Poker Run. But if you wish to only participate in the Shootout, you pay $200. Of course, watching from the sidelines costs you absolutely nothing. But you do not get the thrill of being in the thick of the action that way. Therefore, again, I strongly suggest you register today!
