One day, two courses, 36 holes, one location. The Lake Havasu Iron Man Golf Tournament comes to The Courses at London Bridge Golf Club on Saturday, August 25, 2012. One course just isn’t enough for this tournament. The 36 holes will be played on the club’s Olde London and Nassau courses.
On the day of the tournament, registration and check-in takes place on the patio of the London Bridge Golf Club at 6am. The tournament itself will begin with a shotgun start at 7am. There will be a three person scramble, gross and net flights and contests for closest to the pin and longest drives. If you haven’t registered for the Lake Havasu Iron Man Golf Tournament yet, you have until August 22, 2012 to send in your registration form and $110/player fee. Find out more about how to register by visiting The Courses website here. Your fee includes golf play, golf cart, lunch between rounds and appetizers.
The purpose of the tournament, besides having a great time on the course and winning some awesome prizes, is to raise money for the Lake Havasu Eagles Scholarship Fund. The Fraternal Order of the Eagles is a national philanthropic organization that helps the people of their local communities live a peaceful, prosperous and hopeful life through their charities, such as diabetes research, heart disease research, cancer research, child safety awareness programs, children’s AIDS awareness, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s research and disaster relief.
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or new to the sport, the Lake Havasu Iron Man Golf Tournament is a fun time for everyone. If you’re interested in participating, you have until August 22nd to register. Please keep in mind that all proceeds go towards the Lake Havasu Eagles Scholarship Fund. Donations will also be accepted on-site on the day of the event. This is another fine example of why living in Lake Havasu City is so wonderful.
