Much of our Lake Havasu lifestyle centers around water. When you live in the desert, access to water means the world to you. Kayaking has grown in popularity over the past few years. We see more and more kayakers on the lake all the time. To celebrate, Southwest Kayaks (our local source for all things “kayak-related”) hosts the fall season of their Southwest Kayaks Fishing Open beginning this Labor Day weekend.

Southwest Kayaks Fishing Open 2018
No matter what type of water vessel you choose to use at the 2018 Southwest Kayaks Fishing Open is perfectly fine. They welcome all ages and skill levels, too. Participants launch from Mesquite Bay promptly at 7 am on September 2nd and October 13th. Just follow the signs that say “hard launch area only”. Want to kayak out to your favorite fishing spot? Southwest Kayaks offers several for rent. The rules are simple. Show up. Fish. Weigh in. Biggest bass wins cash. In November, Southwest Kayaks will be hosting a fall tournament. Meet & Greet Ahead of the Southwest Kayaks Fishing Open
On the Saturday before each tournament (Sept 1st and Oct 12th), participants are welcome to join a meet and greet with other anglers. The meet and greets will be held in the English Village at 5 pm. All you need to do is RSVP to Justin with Southwest Kayaks at (928) 680-9257 to let him know you’re coming. Receive information that might help you win some fun prizes. Good luck!
